RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
Hey WillSleep, SleepRider,
I had my first night with the BIPAP. I would say, generally I slept better although I am unsure if it's because I had a big day at work or because of the BIPAP! I did wake up once about 5-6 am but then tried to go back to sleep. Here are the graphs of my first night. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated! I also wanted to know if you have recommendations for a Soft Cervical Collar. I do believe I also have positional apnea and the last cervical collar I got is not that great!

RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
I don't see a need for a soft cervical collar, and these results are very good. This has really changed the flow limitation dynamic! I think you are going to end up needing a higher EPAP min of 8 or 9 cm, and if you can eventually wean yourself off ramp, your initial pressure should stabilize. You can see that as you first went to bed with ramp for 10 minutes, your flow limitation really took off. This resulted in a fast increase in pressure coming out of ramp. If you were starting at a higher minimum ramp pressure or without ramp, you would more likely maintain a lower maximum pressure. The second session at 05:20 looks pretty good, so it may have just been adapting to the new pressure support.

Are the above charts with or without a collar? If they are without you don't need one.

RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
Hello everybody;
I am not wearing a cervical collar at the moment. @SleepRider, Thanks for your input. The ramp settings were default with the machine. I have no problem to turn it off completely. Also as you suggested, my min EPAP is already at 9. Should I increase it even more?

RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
No need to increase EPAP. I think you will benefit without the ramp.

RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
Hey WillSleep, SleepRider, Bonjour
I turned off the Ramp feature and been using the BIPAP for couple of days now. This is my graph for last night. I have only highlighted my sleep at night and not the nap I took during the day. That being said, I don't recall having woken up during the night, but I did notice that my AHI is going above 1. Usually it's almost always below 1. Is there any improvements that can be made to my current protocol? Or should I just keep it as it is? As always, really appreciate your insights.

RE: 2 years on - How am I doing?
Hey everybody,
Unfortunately I woke up today with a slight headache. However, based on the graphs, everything seems to be ok! I am starting to believe that this may be about something else and not sleep apnea related..

Please post some close ups of the flow rate where you're not having an event, thank you.
