I can't imagine how you have multiple complete machines, and they all throw the same fault. I can direct you to the H5i Humidifier Service Manual, but I'm not sure that is helpful

There are several reasons for the humidifier/replace error code. It might clear up if you use room temperature or warmer water.
It seems you need a VPAP or bilevel to provide the high pressures indicated in your profile of 20-24. I assume that is EPAP and IPAP at a constant pressure? There are a couple Aircurve 10 VPAP-S units on Amazon for $475 and $575, the Aircurve 10 Vauto on Amazon is $1195 through MedGuru. Your other choice is of course to go back through your insurance for a replacement. The fact you have a broken machine should be enough to qualify for repair or replacement.
Where did you acquire the used machines? (no links just a name). Have you asked them about replacement?

I purchased it through CPAP liquidators and I assume that they probably have a couple of suppliers they use and I have been dealing with Second Wind CPAP and I have not one bad thing to say about them their service has been great. They sent me a replacement no questions asked.
I haven’t even contacted the insurance. It’s like pulling teeth to get them to pay for anything and I have a $3000 deductible and my year just restarted in Jan.
As far as the water temp I can try but all of the settings are rhe same as they were before the break. I just keep a gallon of distilled water on the bottom shelf on my night stand and pot it in every night. We keep the house at 68 and I only have the machine set to 70.

SecondWindCPAP is a great outfit, and have backed up their products. Multiple failures are rare, but they have happened. I recall a SecondWind customer in Australia with blower motor problems, and finally was offered a new machine.
I would give them a call and see if you could possibly upgrade this purchase after the two prior failures.

SecondWindCPAP has been understanding and awesome through this whole ordeal. The owner actually called me about an hour ago and he told me that he was overnighting a brand new machine.
