A10 for him vs for her confusion
Ok now I'm really confused. Maybe someone can help me out here.
I currently have hired out an Airsense Autoset A10 for him.
From all that I have read here and the info from the resmed site the following applies
to the 2 types of machines, his and hers.
Resmed Airsense Autoset A10 for him has 2 modes, auto (APAP) and manual (CPAP).
The for her model has auto (APAP), manual (CPAP) auto for her (APAP).
I decided to look at the setup of the machine so went into the setup mode for the machine. As can be seen from the pictures below I have a airsense autoset A10 for him and confirmed by the model number from the compliance sticker from the manufacturer. Can someone tell me why I have the autoset for her option for a him machine??? Or have I missed something?

AirSense 10 AutoSet
US version http://www.resmed.com/us/en/commercial-p...toset.html
ClimateLine Air tubing ... code 37208
Slimline tubing ............. code 37207
Aussie version http://www.resmed.com/au/en/consumer/sup...rtDownload
ClimateLine Air Tubing .... code 37316
AirSense 10 AutoSet 4Her
US version http://www.resmed.com/us/en/commercial-p...r-her.html
ClimateLine Air tubing ... code 37210
Slimline tubing ............. code 37209
Aussie version http://www.resmed.com/au/en/consumer/sup...r-her.html
ClimateLine Air Tubing ... code 37318
My machine is A10 AutoSet US version code 37208, has 2 modes .... CPAP and AutoSet
Your machine looks look like A10 AutoSet "black in color" but has has 3 modes like A10 AutoSet 4Her ... CPAP, AutoSet, AutoSet 4Her
Its confusing and more confusing the code 37065 ... neither US or Aussie code, maybe your supplier got some machines from Timbuktu (unless I,m totally wrong and the code got nothing to do with it), or maybe this machine used for trials only, not sold to patients
Or started its life as A10 AutoSet but got A10 AutoSet 4Her software upgrade
I would talk to ResMed directly to clarify the matter ... 1300 305 705 in Australia
Edit: also could something rare, like some banknotes printed with some error, worth more than face value

Well after getting onto Resmed Australia and cutting a long story short, they admit that the 37065 was supplied by them to Australian sleep study centres but they would not answer my question as to why the machine has a for her setting, even though they say it is a for him machine.
The plot thickens. I love a good mystery.
Can anyone confirm that has an Airsense Autoset A10 for him whether it has a for her option in the cliniciations setup menu????

Well if you ever feel the need to get in touch with your feminine side you have the ideal machine for it

I can confirm my A10 AutoSet has only 2 modes .... CPAP and AutoSet
Edit: If you're going with the A10 , might as well get A10 AutoSet 4Her ... same price and more bangs for the bucks
RE: [split] A10 for him vs for her confusion
I wonder if there was a mistake like the wrong software load, or repairing with the wrong system board. Maybe they're going to get smart and start loading the 4her mode on the regular A10 AutoSet.

RE: [split] A10 for him vs for her confusion
Actually, there is no such thing as an A10 for Him machine. There's only an A10, and it's friend the A10 for Her. I don't know why there are two machines other than for marketing effect, but that's what it is. A10 for Her, and A10 for everybody. If that seems like gender discrimination, well, I guess we just have to suck it up.
RE: [split] A10 for him vs for her confusion
I think you are better off with the A10 Auto for Her. It measures some things that the other machine doesn't - even if you don't have it in the "for Her" mode.

It does not look like a mistake, ResMed told Chip the machine "supplied by them to Australian sleep study centres"
But why they supplied this machine while they could supplied 4Her version and why they went to all the trouble manufacturing this machine in the first place if they're not going to roll out it anytime soon.
I think AirSense 10 release is a rush job, ResMed wanted to grab some headlines and were loosing market share in US since introduction of competitive bidding as their machines more expensive than Respironcis machines.
AirSense 10 with built-in humidifier is cheaper than the S9 with H5i humidifier
RE: [split] A10 for him vs for her confusion
It would be interesting to list the software version information along with the product codes. Also, it seems odd to me that there are different machine codes for the ClimateLine vs. standard tubing. Are the machines really different or is it just a package code?
I have a couple of older Respironics machines and am looking to get a new machine, thus my interest in this machine, probably the "for Her" version based upon its additional mode and reporting abilities.
