Sometimes my chin strap works, sometimes not but I do like the pillow mask. I'm not sure what the respiratory therapist will recommend for a mask when I see him next week. I really don't like the idea of a full face mask.
The respiratory therapist can RECOMMAND (and should) but YOU get to PICK so don't take a quick suggestion as a mandate.
Do your research now. Ask more questions (about your current mask and you desires for making it work 'better') and then read as many reviews as possible about the mask you think might be suitable for you.
Remember, you quite likely will end up with several masks over the years to come, but this first mask is the ONLY one you will have for the near future while you are starting out.
If pillows will work for you, then I would highly recommend the Resmed Airfit P10, but other people would recommend something else.
Also, since you are having trouble with mouth leaks that is something you must deal with to use a straight pillow mask.
So try some of the suggestions such as "taping" now, to decide if that will work for you -- you may hate it or find that it is no big deal.
You already have a chin strap but maybe there are better straps.
What mask are you using now?
There is a workable mask for almost everyone, but your DME may not carry it or it may be more expensive and they will not suggest if to your FIRST, unless you ask. (if insurance is paying them a set price.)
