Transferring a machine?
It sounds like I’m going to need an ASV machine. But the rent-to-own agreement with my current machine may result in me owning it outright before this happens. I’m also pretty sure my spouse has OSA. She is going to get a sleep study, and I imagine she will probably need a CPAP of her own.
If all this happens, is it possible for her to decline a new machine, just get the consumables from insurance, use mine (which will only have 3 months use on it), but clear my data and re-link the modem and machine serial number to her account with the sleep center and with the ResMed site / app so that the sleep center can monitor her just like they would if they provided the machine, and she’d see her own data on her phone? Has anyone had experience doing anything similar? We have good insurance, but not having to rent-to-own a machine if I own a perfectly good one and will have to rent-to-own a second ASV seems like a good idea. We’d only do this if she would be receiving medically supervised treatment; a DIY approach for her isn’t something we would consider.
Has anyone had any experience obtaining a used machine and still getting monitored treatment from a sleep doctor? Any thoughts?
