AHI vs EPH
I am a five year CPAP user averaging about 5 AHI per night. My brother also a CPAP user (different machine) says he has under 1 EPH (Episodes Per Hour). Can someone explain the difference? Is this a machine peculiarity?
RE: AHI vs EPH
As you probably know AHI includes central apnea, obstructive, apnea, and hypopnea per hour. It may be his machine does not discriminate by type of event. It is definitely a difference in the machines. What it means is impossible to tell without knowing what type of events are included in the EPH. What make and model does he have?
