RE: ASV Machine
Do a search on Amazon for CPAP hose holder, I picked one up and wish I had it from the start! It works wonderfully and I figured it would be too much of a burden/bother to take on overnight trips but was pleased to find out that it can fold very easily and I will not leave home without it.

RE: ASV Machine
Here is last night. Hojo: I have already ordered the Hose Buddy.
I am going to add 1 to max and min EPAP because hypopnea was 16. LL was 5 and unclassified was 4. I woke up at 4 and was up for about an hour.

I forgot to say that I went back to the foam 20 by ResMed. I tried making the mask go over my head and bound by the pillow but it kept coming loose.

RE: ASV Machine
Dave,
I feel tired. I am adding 1 to min EPAP because it says add 1 until obstructive stuff stops. I can't add 1 to max EPAP because 15 is as high as it goes.

RE: ASV Machine
That's a big difference in your leaks, it still needs a bit of adjustment. I'd treasure the mask you are using now. It's going to make it easier, because you can start trusting the numbers in sleepyhead.
I would carry over the min epap 6 you had and work from there and raise 1cm at a time, as per the titration guide. You may get back to near the original 7 or 8 that the doctor set as a fixed pressure and use some of the max epap for a bad night. If you have the default max 15, you can leave that and as you say it's as high as it goes anyway and is out of the way. Then I would see if any remaining clusters are because of REM, backsleeping or chin tucking. REM and backsleeping, you keep raising the min epap. For chin tucking. Think chin up head back and a suitable pillow or method. google ideas : https://www.google.com.au/search?rlz=1C1...pJvar5IyUQ Some people are really bad and need a $10 soft foam cervical collar, though this can serve as a training aid. To show how the neck should be. When the obstructives are fixed. Then I would look at how the machine is treating your CA, it's funny leaving this till last, when this is the reason for the machine. the default max 15, should be fine for now.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

Yep, looks like leaks were down; very noticeable difference on the chart. As for feel, it took me around 2 months to really notice I was starting to feel better. Not trying to discourage, but be aware it's going to take time to turn the tide on this. Be assured, if I could change my sleep feel direction, you can too. Take care Larry and keep working at it, it will begin to pay off soon. Enjoy the weekend.

RE: ASV Machine
Here is last night. Ajack - I am going to add 1 to EPAP min. I want to eliminate hypopnea and am following titration guide except substituting nights for 20 min intervals. I am hesitant about cervicals because I tried it before and I couldn't sleep. I can't drive because of the stroke and don't like the collars I have. More later.

RE: ASV Machine
Larry, what are the dimensions (height) of the collars you have? Are they soft foam collars?
My humble opinion is that you should not raise EPAP. You have a significant rise in EPAP in the results above where it nearly reached the maximum setting of 15. When that happened you were in the midst of your worst cluster of UA/H and it had no effect until you restarted and got lower perssure. I do NOT think higher EPAP is your answer, and I think you did better and were more comfortable when we limited how high it could go.

RE: ASV Machine
What height? I don't know and will have to wait until my wife gets home and she can find them and I can measure them.
You don't want me to raise my EPAP min? You were the one who sent and recommended the titration guide! Remember that the last time we did this was with a different machine. Now I really don't know what to do!
