Ajack, actually it was a bad night!  I think I woke around 2:00 and finally watched tv for an hour.  However, my results were terrific!  Setting min EPAP to 9 really worked.

I am willing to shave if I have to.  I hope I don't but I'm willing.

If there is something I can add to my beard, I'm willing.  Hopefully someone who knows will post it!

It's okay to have it at min epap 9. I wouldn't put it down to being a reason for a good nights results, the machine rose to the pressure it needed. The median epap number was 9.4 and 95% was 10.4

This is just a guess. The beard could be tricking the machine, the H that aren't being cleared with 25cm, may in fact be a controlled leak through the beard and loosing effective treatment pressure. So the machine keeps increasing pressure with nil result?
If it's not an issue, I'd lose the beard for a week or two and we can remove a variable and not consider it.

It's good looking at other peoples charts, this is mine from last night, I had an issue for an hour, probably during back sleeping, or I tucked my chin. You remember me saying I like my min epap close to my 95%, well last night I have some obstruction and the epap rose from 11 to 13 and had a drop in the minute vent

IMO Larry, at this place in your ASV path, you're needing to chase after comfort and things that help you sleep through the night. What exactly this may include I'm not certain. But if it were me, I'd focus on little changes to things other than any pressure settings to get more rest, and more time on the machine. You've done a great job on success just like this most recent chart. Now you really just want to produce similar results each night while being comfortable and increasing hours slept.

agreed, the results are great now. It's just the mask to sort out, so you don't have to over tighten. I assume you tried a nasal mask and you mouth breathed with it?

I don't think I've tried a nasal mask.  I have a deviated septum.  My nose clogs up almost every night at least for a little.  Unfortunately I'm stuck with a FFM.

This is last night.  10 H, 82 LL, and 10 unclassified.  Almost all of the hypopnea and unclassified line up with the large leaks.  I think I need to raise my min EPAP from 9 to 10 but absolutely need to adjust the mask to my beard.  Not so easy.

A nasal pillows mask could be something that opens new possibilities.  I have a deviated septum and often feel congested, but the Resmed Airfit P10 almost instantly clears that up.  The only thing that would prevent you from having complete success with a nasal pillows mask is if you can't keep your mouth shut. You will get all the air you need nasally and it works much better.  Many ASV users have found this to be the best solution.  The complete mask with 3-sizes of nasal pillows costs about $75.  If you ever have a chance to try it, I highly recommend it.  Mask leaks would never happen again, but other problems like mouth breathing can be a show stopper.
