RE: ASV Machine
Larry, feel free to post in your therapy thread whenever, and as often as you want. I was just thinking it might be time to move from a daily look to specific issues and trends. There is not much further we can do day to day.

RE: ASV Machine
Sleeprider,

Ok, I'll stop posting daily.  My only real problem now is the mask and that is something I just have to work out myself!  It's a real bear!  The ideal solution might well be to switch to nasal pillows but unfortunately I get jammed up with congestion and forcing a nasal solution does not seem to work so I am forced to use a FFM.  Then I seem to be faced with the problem that I toss and turn which seems to make me lose pressurization of the mask.  What a mess!  Thing is, though, that you're getting me to switch to an ASV machine made a HUGE difference.  I vary a lot but it seems to be always under an AHI of 5.  Thanks again!

RE: ASV Machine
Since you want to work out mask leaks, another thread dealing with that subject may be better. At 63 pages, this one is too long to be useful to get help on that subject. If you're comfortable with the idea, maybe take a selfie with the mask so we can kind of see what you're up against.

RE: ASV Machine
Sleeprider,

Thank you ever so much.  Ok, I'll do that.  One of my problems is that I know how to take a selfie with my iPhone 6, but I don't know (anymore) how to transfer it to my laptop which is what I use with ApneaBoard.  Frankly, a big part of my problem is that I have a small beard and don't want to shave!  But, I'll get it all figured out and post a new message.  The stroke I had is a real pain!

Larry what you could do is use the iPhone and browse to ApneaBoard and then start a new thread and upload a selfie directly from your iPhone the attachment button should allow you to select an photograph from your phone.

Thank you.  When you click on attachments, where do you go?  Where are selfies kept?

RE: ASV Machine
Larry,
I have a suggestion that can help you with a FFM beard and all. Although I do not have major leaks even with my beard, I use a chip strap (inexpensive, free delivery on Amazon prime) that helps me as a chin strap but also covers that part of my beard that the bottom part of the mask past my lips sits on. This presents a very stable surface that makeds the air seal very tight. Refer to the attached picture!

mhehe,

Thank you - I'll try that.  It sounds like a very good idea! Can you tell me the brand? I went to Amazon and they have a lot of them.

It says so on the picture that is from Amazon: silent sleeping, search for that.
