Airsense 10 SD card full

RE: Airsense 10 SD card full
Very strange....

I just checked my SD card backup and i have 2.5GB of data from 2 years of use.  Do you happen to have a lot of events every night?
Seems like an awful lot of data for such a short period of time.

Unless my math is wrong, even at an average of 3MB per day that adds up to ~875MB over 9 months.  Would be interesting to see what is taking up all that extra space.  Would you be willing to post a screenshot of the File Explorer window next time you have the SD card in your computer?

Here's my vauto card -- I've been using it for 4 months and I've used less than a half a GB:

Here's the folder on my computer which is the image of my autoset card

7 years, only 6-1/2 GB of data.

Post a listing of all the files on your SD Card.

There might be content on the card from other applications.

What I would do is take the card out of the machine. Attach a card reader to your home computer. Put the SD card in the card reader. Create a new folder on your computer HDD. Copy the contents of the card to the folder. Verify you got everything. Get a larger SD card. Put it in the machine so it can be formatted by the machine. Take it out, put it in the card reader and copy all the previous sleep data from the old card that is now in a folder on your computer back onto the new larger SD card. Be sure to put it in the correct folder. Problem solved.

The A10 series will store up to 30 days of detailed data, 30 days flow data, and 365 days of summary data on the SD card. If you are like me and download the data to your PC on a regular basis, then anything over 30 days of data storage will use considerably more PC drive space than the SD card, because you are retaining the detailed and flow data.

RE: Airsense 10 SD card full
In my experience with an AS10, the SD card retains data until it is full, and then it is erased and re-formatted. As I have mentioned, I have a year and a half on my first SD card, and four and a half years on my current (8 GB) card.

RE: Airsense 10 SD card full
Well, this is getting to be REALLY interesting.

@Jeff, I forgot to say thanks for telling me about the hidden files switch. I learned something. Thanks.

Now, onto the newest developments.
1. Since I download data from card into OSCAR daily, I have all data in OSCAR format.
2. Yesterday I copied the entire SC card onto PC in native format. So I've got that.
3. Last night, the AirSense 10 either reformatted the card or deleted the old files.
4. It shows 3.69 of 3.69 available and NO FILES at all shown on the card when viewing via File Explorer. BUT the card does contain last night's data and I know that because I could download it into OSCAR. How could the card show empty and yet contain last night's data? No hidden files, even with the switch on as Jeff suggested. Totally illogical IMO, a serious head scratcher and I don't have much hair left!

I would try to attached posts containing the files (now on PC) in native format, together with a picture of the card itself. But there is no feature shown here enabling me to post attachments, which I have seen on this board before. How do I share attachments with you? I know that there are programs like Dropbox and Imgur but do not know anything about them nor do I wish to learn.

Thanks for everyone for your interest and expertise.

Clownbell - You must be using the Full Editor and not the Quick Editor in order to attach images and files.  Use the REPLY button to enter the Full Editor.

RE: Airsense 10 SD card full
Thanks Jeff. I have posted attachments before but my last post did not contain the Attachments banner below the text. Strange. Because this post does show the attachments capability, I have attached some as previously discussed.

Below are two views of SD card before being reformatted/erased by the AutoSet. There doesn't appear to be extraneous files taking up un-needed space.

Below is a two view of SD card after being reformatted/erased by the AutoSet.

I guess the bottom line is that I saved the data onto PC in native format before the SD card was reformatted/erased by the AutoSet. Still, I can't help but be curious why the card maxed out after 9 months (actually 9.5 months, 1-14-2021 to 10-31-2021).

Thanks to the experts for your interest.
