Another Mask Tryout

Wow! I went back to Quattro Air last night and I must say this mask is growing on me. I slept 9 hours with AHI of 1.9. and mask leak 8 L/ min. I slept like a log but did wake up with one big heart racing sucker of an apnea. I want to try the Mirage Quattro.

The plain 'Quattro' is the FFM I have and use when needed. It works for me, but is a fair bit uncomfortable for daily use. I use it when ill, or when I am having 'bad' nights - for me, it's my go-to mask when I need everything to work, regardless of how hard it is to put on.

I cannot take it off over my head, I must unclip from it (like you are supposed to do with most masks).

I tried the Mirage Quattro. It is an older mask. The side clips are hard to use and it is hard to put the bottom head gear in them.

For me, I had major leaks with this mask to the point of either keeping me awake or waking me up if I managed to sleep (same with the Amara Gel). The head gear on the Amara Gel was much better and sturdier than the Mirage Quattro (this is for me). I think some of the problem with the Mirage Quattro is that it is the wrong size for me (I was given a medium at the sleep lab in October).

I hope that it works better for you than it does for me. We are all different and what works for one doesn't work for others.
