Anyone able to help me read my machine first night

RE: Anyone able to help me read my machine first night
well it forces my jaw to stay shut kinda cause i am wearing a guard for bruxism also

no leaks tho that is wierd but they still required a really high rate of 13 to keep me at zero ahi

mine is autoset so none of that insane air until i sleep, it is tough to get use to but i am so sleep deprived

Thanks, but that's not mine; it's an image I got from a random web site when I was looking for cute photos of fat cats. As I mentioned in the first thread I posted here a while ago, I wouldn't ever let a cat of mine get fat, because that's kinda cruel. Mine are well-nourished (high-q food) and never very hungry, but not fat. But probably I'm too concerned about what people think. :-/

You said "mine is autoset so none of that insane air until i sleep" ... just a clarification: do you mean that you have the ramp feature switched on? Or is ramp off but autoset still doesn't increase the pressure right away? Just curious.

What you said about the guard for bruxism answers a question I was going to ask, about whether you can just command yourself to keep your mouth closed while asleep, and somehow have that work. That's what I try to do, but I'll never get a leak rate of zero that way. It doesn't bug me, though. I don't care so much about the numbers. The important thing is that I'm finally no longer exhausted all day every day.

Hiya Pinkkarma

Welcome to the forum and well done for your great scores and results.

That is definitely the way to go. Yes, in the early days I did want to tear my mask off and did so on many an occasion but I was suffering with an inappropriate mask with almighty high leaks farting about all over my face and severe aerophagia.

But I persevered and now I wouldn't sleep without my mask unless I am deliriously ill with a full running nose which has happened once or twice .

Hope you do persevere too and let us know of your great results.

Your results speak for themselves and you essentially have no obstructive apnea with the therapy. It is important to be comfortable and confident with the therapy as well. Hopefully you will soon feel the benefits of sleeping without apnea and hypopnea. If you have a PC or Mac, you might want to take a look at #Sleepyhead software. It gives a lot more information about what drives your pressure changes and lets you make intelligent choices in setting minimum and maximum pressure.
