[CPAP] Should I continue CPAP?
#11
RE: Should I continue CPAP?
I cannot conclude that you are apnea free or that your untreated AHI is low enough to not require CPAP treatment. That would require a diagnostic PSG. I can state that your apnea is sufficiently treated that almost all sleep specialists will say that you are well treated, congratulations.

1. A pressure of 5 with an EPR of 1 is sufficient to satisfactorily treat you by accepted medical standards.
2. it is possible, unusual but possible, that you had a bad night and your normal AHI would not require treatment. This would require another diagnostic PSG to determine.
3. The ResMed and the Sleep Study device very likely had different algorithms. Most likely the sleep study was manually reviewed and scored. Both numbers are considered to be medically valid.
