Anyone use Pad a cheek liners?
Just wanted to know if anyone uses with success Pad-a-Cheek liners for help with reducing leaks. I was told they help with itching and irritation from the cushions; however, I have also heard they help with leaks. I would be interested to know experience with these liners.

I don’t use her mask liners, but I do use the strap covers. They definitely help with comfort: maybe leaks, too.
I guess it depends what kind of irritation you have, but could you try cleaning the mask a little differently?

I clean it with a damp paper towel but a couple of times I have used unscented Dove soap and warm water and then rinsed it. It is the all new silicon F 40 mask. Is that cleaning better than just wiping with a paper towel that is damp? I have heard conflicting advice on how to clean these masks.

RE: Anyone use Pad a cheek liners?
I have the F40, too.
I serendipitously found out that I could use the mask wipe I use on the mask to also wipe my face right before bed. It sticks better. Sometimes my face sags during the night, and the mask all of a sudden doesn’t seem to fit the new contours. If it still leaks after I re-situate it, I wipe my face again with the wipe, and voilà, it stays put the rest of the night. FWIW I only use one mask wipe a day. It does my equipment and my face. Have you had your F40 cushion for a while? IME they fatigue and get leakier. Just in case you missed this factoid….be sure to set your unit to “pillows”. That’s the label on the very front of the Resmed bag the F40 comes in. Regarding the leaks…I’ve found that the F40 sounds like it’s leaking, when it’s not. Also, when it does leak, Oscar echoes the leak profile with a snore profile. I rarely snore, but there goes the snore chart, up and down, exact same shape as the leaks. I’m speculating the divider at the nostrils vibrates and causes a snore to register. I have heard people say the pad a cheek mask liners help with leaks. |
