1. She will scream and not go to sleep unless she has her pacifier. With the pacifier in, she does breath through her nose, but I can hear it. I can hear the breathing and it sounds like light snoring (nasal) sometimes.
She does however sleep with her mouth closed and breathes through her nose when she falls asleep in the car in the car seat (so maybe incline is better??)
2. She mouth breathes often during the day. She has an overbite.
3. She wakes up pretty much every night. during the first 4 months or so, it would be very difficult to put her back to sleep. Now, it is easy most nights. But she still does wake. I still suspect breathing difficulties as the main reason why she wakes.
4. She wakes up warm and sweaty (this is a symptom I had regularly before I went to see a doctor and got a sleep study, determining that I have sleep apnea). And sometimes wakes in weird positions.
5. Pediatrician and dentist say she doesn't have large tonsils or adenoids. No ear infections. They see no major concerns.
Otherwise, she is developing normally.
If anyone has any thoughts, I'd like to hear them. I have no idea what to do. Some say you can revisit this when she's about 6-8 years old, and maybe some dental work may help. Palate expanders?
