Damage with canned air (lapse of Judgment)

Damage with canned air (lapse of Judgment)
As the results of a very bad night of sleep (because of a noisy motor), I -in a lapse of judgment- decided to use Dust Off (also known as canned air or difluoroethane), to see if I could make the machine make less noise.
I sprayed on the air intake hoping some lodged particle may dislodge a reduce the winning of the motor. Oh-jeez

Of course, I failed, this is not so tragic because this Resmed 10 that was very near the end of its usable life.

Now that I have bought a new machine, I was thinking of repairing and keep this old machine as a backup, maybe replacing the motor with a Chinese part from Ali Express.

My question is this:
  • Could I have damage some kind of sensor?
  • Where are the sensors, and, how do you clean them?

RE: Damage with canned air (lapse of Judgment)
I don't think any sensors would be affected by your use of canned air. They have opening to the air-path, but I don't know how they would have been affected as much as the motor. An alternative to the AliExpress motor replacement might be to contact Supplier #28 and inquire about the price of a motor replacement. Another member used them to replace the motor, and for about $200 plus shipping got a new motor, gaskets and pressure calibration. A properly refurbished machine is a lot better than anything I could put together, and if there is a problem, they will just let you know it's not repairable and you pay the bench charge.
