I have replaced the air filter twice now and I woke up this morning and there is still some stuff in the remaining water in the tub.
Any ideas here?
Thank you.

Small Debris in Water Chamber?
Hello I have been using my BI-PAP Res Med machine for a year and a half now and I have been noticing some small debris in my water chamber in the morning when I clean my gear.
I have replaced the air filter twice now and I woke up this morning and there is still some stuff in the remaining water in the tub. Any ideas here? Thank you. Reesche

RE: Small Debris in Water Chamber?
I've been using my Resmed AirSense AutoSet 10 for over 6 years now. I empty the water chamber each & every morning and I never find anything unusual in it.
Only some mineral / calcium deposits every now & then. I don't go over board changing out air filters, but do it when it's necessary. I do keep the area clean around where my CPAP sits. It gets wiped down several times a week. Can you describe the stuff you are finding in detail?

RE: Small Debris in Water Chamber?
I change my air filter monthly. That's what ResMed advises.
Machine: ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask: Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution

It is like very small hairs or floating white goo.
Not much in there but I have been noticing this the last several time at clean out in the morning. I just cleaned my electronic air cleaner pre and post filters on our gas furnace too. Reesche

Went to High School (Shadle Park) and college (SCC). You have any pets in the house? If you're keeping up changing out the air filters on your CPAP machine, you should be good to go.

I had the same problem. Do not pull the water chamber out while the blower is still running. This will reduce the entrance of dust. Also, wipe out the insesrtion slot. zzz..zzz

You might want to use a more effective filter. See:
Always use a hypoallergenic filter instead of the standard one. |
