RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Am I seeing things?
Aren't my 2 studies, the diagnostic and the titration pretty much THE SAME? The BiPAP did exactly zero? But a BiPAP is recommended?
And the doc's recommending maybe one step higher pressure on BiPAP than titrated and I already use higher pressures on my A10A?
---------
I'm thinking I have almost all central hypopneas and not OSA hypopneas and that's why OSA treatment hasn't changed the AHI number one whit....
Whadda you think?

What the heck do I do? Coaching needed.....
RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Nah you're seeing rightly. These 2 studies are pretty close together on results. Something isn't adding up. I'll let better learned ones speak up while I go attend a coffee break. Hope they didn't er uh goof up something.

RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Where is the titration study? No indication of pressure trials and events. This is not a titration study as far as I can see. What happens when pressure is introduced? what are the results of EPAP, and PS trials? What is this, some kind of scam? As far as I can tell, this study found over 18 AHI, predominately central and hypopnea, most of the hypopnea had 3-4% desaturation and awakenings, and did nothing to resolve it. Where are the results from pressure titration? This is complete B.S. This does not reflect the titration exam you described, but is another untreated Dx study. One last comment...the events are mostly central. Who the hell does a study like this?
RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
The note from the doctor sounded like a quack to me, certainly not a sleep specialist.
RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Ah, SleepRider. I'm learning fast.... We are definitely on the same page....
Here's the ENTIRE titration:

RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Eww you're right. Could this "titration" study be nearly as useful as motorcycle doors? Sorry HalfAsleep...This is worse than what I had to deal with. Best wishes on this.
Dave
PS well OK there's the numbers breakdown.

RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Not only has the AHI not changed from the diagnostic sleep study to the titration sleep study, but the AHI is about 3x the average AHI for me on SleepyHead, including wake, sleep, naps. Go figure.
RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Change doctors. This is ridiculous.
RE: BPAP Titration Sleep Study
Yes, seriously, you gotta change someone on this medical fail. Not piling on. Get a second opinion or whatever you gotta do.

Here's the ENTIRE titration:
Am I missing something? as far as I can see the apnea resolved when they went from 10/6 to 12/6 and then they reduced the PS back to 4 and finished on 12/8
