Backup Respironics Data card.

Backup Respironics Data card.
What is the best way to back up my Respironics data card to my PC? My card reader shows the folders and Oscar reads them, but I'm not sure what to drag as backup to a folder on my PC. There is a folder called "P Series" on the card that I think is the one I want.
Anyone know? I can attach screen shots if that would be useful.
Thank you.

RE: Backup Respironics Data card.
You will want to copy everything on the SD card. There are a couple of ways to achieve a backup.  Both require you to create a dedicated directory on your computer.  The first method is to select all the contents on the SD card and copy this to your dedicated directory.  After the first backup, you will need to elect to overwrite existing files in the directory so you will update the files that are appended to each day.

The second is my preferred method if you are going to manually transfer the SD card to your PC.  The following programs allow you to only download the files that are new or have changed since the last download.  If you are on a Windows OS, then either use the command ROBOCOPY, or even better and easier, download the free Microsoft program named, "SyncToy 2.1".  Please note that there seems to be several places offering this app.  I would strongly recommend that you only download it from Microsoft.  Here is their URL: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...x?id=15155.   For a Mac try, "RsyncOSX" and for Linux, "grsync".   Both of the last two programs are the rsync app with graphic frontends.  However, if you are computer savvy, you could always use the command line and rsync.

I hope this provides some insight.

Of course, it is nice to know that OSCAR makes a backup of your card during import...

Yes. Like SH, OSCAR keeps a copy of everything in the same layout as the card.

On my computer, it is in Documents\OSCAR_Data\Profiles\PaulaO-A10\ResMed_23171865668\Backup

PaulaO-A10 is the name of my OSCAR profile. (it has all the data from my A10; another profile holds all the data from my S9)
ResMed blah blah is my machine (OSCAR does this on its own)
And Backup is well, the backup. You want to backup the entire contents of this folder.

I regularly backup my CPAP files (everything in the OSCAR_Data folder) to the cloud service I use. Remember, if you copy it to another location on your hard drive, it will be lost too if the drive fails. I keep it all on the cloud so it is off-site. I'm a writer so I'm twitchy about backing up files.
