Using humidifier with fixed pressure

Just found a booklet from ResMed titled "Coping with positive airway pressure treatment" and it said on page 22 that pressure need to be adjusted if using humidifier with fixed pressure. I've not read it anywhere else - Any thought?

I've just started treatment and it's irritating my nose

The cool dry air of treatment can cause a runny nose and sneezing in some people. but it usually settle down within a few days to a week. if it does not settle down, you should consider using heated humidifier. which will help by adding warmth and moisture to the air.

Remember if you are using a fixed pressure CPAP device.
your set pressure may be need to be adjusted slightly if a humidifier is used.

if you are using ResMed AuotSet device, it will automatically compensate for the pressure if humidifier is used.

I believe it's referring to ancient CPAP machines that required a manometer to set the pressure. I could only find that article in an old blog post. I found a similar brochure at [commercial link removed per Apnea Board rules] but it is titled "Living with positive airway pressure treatment." I didn't see anything about the pressure adjustment in this booklet, but I only scanned it quickly.

Thanks. It does look its referring to acients machines bc at the bottom of the last page 30 of the booklet mention the following:
