RE: Born with CSA
Thank you Gideon. I tried to buy the oxygen bleed adapter but couldn’t find one locally. Now, I see the supplier list and will order through one of those. I have the SD card but I only use an iPad so I have to get someone to help me out with getting the data.

Would you be able to suggest a DME supplier where I could buy an ASV PAP without a prescription?

After the incident at my mother’s house that I described above, my sleep schedule is messed up and only getting fragmented sleep during the day.

Look for DotMed and search under Respiratory/Bilevel or use the search term ASV.  The Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt or Aircurve 10 ASV are both appropriate choices.

RE: Born with CSA
Glad to help. Let us know how it works out, and consider starting a therapy thread for the ASV. Be sure to have a SD card and reader available. Without data we would be really flying blind with the new ASV.

RE: Born with CSA
Wow! Look at the difference between these two charts.
The “bad” one is on CPAP with 3 liters of O2 and the nose pillow with the big opening under the nose
The “good” one is on CPAP with 5 liters of O2 and the nose pillow that goes into each nostril

RE: Born with CSA
A few changes that I’ve noticed since starting CPAP one month ago:

Depression has gone
I can type faster
Write faster
Pain in my lower right abdomen that I’ve felt for years has gone away
The sclera is whiter
Much more energy - a cup of coffee made me bounce off the walls for the first time in my life
More focused
Less forgetful
Can see things from a new perspective which has allowed me to see my own mistakes
Now understand why my life has fallen apart every few years - it was my only way to recover after non restorative sleep for so long

I have hope
