RE: Breathing out?
Sounds like there's no exhalation relief on. With other devices this is called A-Flex, C-Flex or ERP. I don't know the device. Maybe the pressure is also very high? Which pressure and which mode are set?
RE: Breathing out?
Can you inhale and exhale directly from the hose without any device, so hose pulled off?
RE: Breathing out?
Thanks for the reply the machine is a BMC LUNA. I spelt it badly
The cpap works fine but I think its the nasal input under my nose. The air at all pressures comes in fine but i find getting it to allow exhale Hard which makes it claustrophobic Must keep trying (With a stuffy nose!!!) Sorry its a BMC LUNA

RE: Breathing out?
Stuffy nose? Do you have a cold? Maybe something helps against swollen mucous membranes?

RE: Breathing out?
The Luna has a feature called ResiFlex which is equivalent to Flex and EPR on the Philips and Resmed machines. This lowers the pressure as you exhale. Try setting ResiFlex to 3 and see how that goes.

RE: Breathing out?
What are your pressure settings? What mode are you in?

RE: Breathing out?
Thanks, I,ve set it to 3 and will see if I sleep
As a starter with this machine which you know perhaps You could suggest the max min pressures or is it worth Doing a gradual increase from say 6 max 4 min and daily Increase the 6 by 0.5 up to ??? Any comment from a claustrophobic !

RE: Breathing out?
If your min is 6 I would set it to 7 with the relief set to 3

RE: Breathing out?
Robert have you had a sleep study or other diagnosis as a basis for setting up your machine? We really need some more details and data to give you good advice.
