C-Pap recovery experiences question

C-Pap recovery experiences question
I was tested for sleep apnea and scored a 34 on the scale, although most were hypopnea's.

I've had a C-Pap for the past 4 months and my experiences have been odd sometimes.

Usually relating to memory. My short term memory and focus have improved dramatically, but I'm sometimes having trouble remembering things especially times when my sleep apnea was occurring (which was about the last 5 years or so). But it has also occurred with simple things like names of actors I've known for years, or simple stuff that I'm very familiar with.

My doctor told me that it could take upwards of a year for the damage done by the apnea to improve.

But I'm wondering if anyone else has had these experiences?

Interesting! I blamed my loss of memory on getting old--now I can blame it on something else? I mainly forget names.

I've always felt my memory was damaged by my apnea.

I can't remember what I was supposed to second, or not forget, so I'm all done.

I could read it again, but I'll likely just remember to forget.

I'd always assumed it was age. I have sometimers disease. Sometimes I remember and sometimes I forget.

I was pretty happy to discover that that it was apnea not old age causing my cognitive problems.

Cognitive????? Now lets see.....is that a name that I should remember. I can feel it on the edges of my memory just can't bring it into focus. Oh yeah, that's right, my eyesight is getting a little borderline. Oh well, there must be some other things that are going downhill. I just can't remember what they are!

I have a friend that calls it "old timers disease" as if it happens to us all as we age. I must say though my journal, and my wife, never seem to forget.
