Help! DME Over-Charging!

I changed the title of the thread, but each reply still shows the name of the thread replied to. I think regardless of title that there is good information here that will benefit current and future members, so we are not going to delete.

Each reply will display the current thread title name that was listed at the time of the post.

Yeah, when you change a thread title (especially a long thread like this one), the title of the thread that shows in the forum will show the change and the very first post will show the change, but not any other posts that were made before the title change.  

Then all posts made after the title change will reflect the new title.  Now, you can (if your very energetic) change each post title individually, but hardly worth the time involved.  

Sorry arpeggioh for jumping in here, but wanted to clarify this.  And agree, this is an informative subject and I see no reason to delete a thread.

I'm happy to hear you purchased your own machine.  Use it and feel free to post if you have questions.  

Also hope you find a better DME to do business with.  Next time, be sure you know exactly what your insurance will cover before hand and what your share will be.  Don't believe what a DME tells you.

The DME has reminded me quite a few times as the medical version of the shady used car salesman. He has rolled back the odometer and is trying to sell you the 6 year old base model hatch that "only" has 5,215 miles. That base model car that sells for the same or higher than the premium model at another dealer. Being a base model, it didn't come with a radio. Oh, and be sure to come in for his mechanic to change the oil every 3K miles, even though the manufacturer says 6K is fine. And please buy a NoGleam car finish restorer for a few extra bucks, the car wash isn't good enough.

Just as a side point... I don't think the title used for this thread is appropriate or necessary. 

Moderators have my express permission to delete this thread as they see fit.  I was new to CPAP and this site when I posted, and pretty freaked out about the perceived cost of equipment.  I've since learned more about DME billing and my actual out of pocket expense.  Apologies for the "click-bait" title!

Thank you for changing the thread title to a more accurate description of the issues you have been having.

The thread itself is definitely relevant for some members of this forum though.
