CPAP starts and runs like it's doing a leak check after getting a new mask
It's been a few years since I last posted on here - mainly because it's always been easy to find answers. I'm puzzled now. During my appointment with a sleep doctor and pulmonologist, I asked about getting a new mask. I got the Evora full face - the kind that fits over the mouth and just below the nose.
I did some reading and found that I should change the mask type setting on the Resmed Airsense 10 from full face to nasal, which I did. My first night with the mask was great. Woke up and the bridge of my nose didn't hurt like it was with the other mask. Last night, though, was weird and difficult. I put the mask on, connected to the supply hose from the CPAP, and when the CPAP came on, it was blowing high pressure, like it was running a leak check. It took several times before I could put it on and have it start at normal pressure. Is there some setting I'm missing?
Airsense is set as follows:
No ramp (can't stand it)
EPR is on (forgot the setting)
Autostart is on
Mask type is nasal (not pillows)
Any suggestions or known fixes? I can't sleep without this thing!
