[CPAP] Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?

RE: Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
Honestly, I'm also surprised why the doctor set me the date of the visit for a month instead of making a decision at once. Maybe something was not sure, something else wants to check? Maybe he will want to repeat the research?

RE: Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
no harm in asking for additional info from your provider. sometimes there's a method to their madness that isn't communicated to us. chances are they know something we don't, but still, from this layman's point of view, it's scary to wait without assurances there's no additional risk to waiting and/or using a malfunctioning machine.
earlier I said I'd suspect the hospital results. not because I am so sure your machine is okay but because there's an unanswered question and your health is at stake. personally, I'd want to confirm my machine is/isn't working and if not get one that does. either it is working and it's not adequately treating you or it isn't working and who knows whether it's helping or harming. either way, it doesn't sound great for you. you seem to be content to wait. I hope it works out for the best.

To put it simply, I believe the machine data, not the hospital data. Central apnea is consistently inconsistent, but the conclusion your machine data is incorrect is simply not consistent with any other result I have seen. When machine data fails, it doesn't look like this.

With the leaks fixed, see if the local resmed will loan you a trial machine overnight. With a potential sale, if yours is faulty, or perhaps a more advanced machine needed. They should be happy to help. It would be good to have a clearer idea of what is happening, when you see the doctor in a month.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

I will go even further: why do I need such a daily counting of apneas if I have no influence on it? After all, I could, for example once a year, examine these apneas at the doctor, but why do I need such daily information? Do I suddenly do something when I find out I have some apneas last night? Or maybe I should count the daily apnea because I do not believe in the hospital and doctor? "You seem to be content to wait. I hope it works out for the best." And what is your suggestion? Do not wait and take matters into my hands? In what way? Why do you want to convince me that I should not believe in the results of diagnostic equipment in the hospital? I think you're going to this? Are you dissatisfied that I depend on the hospital and not on the results of the machines? Why ?

My decision-making area is the use of one or another device and one or another mask. And that's all. End. As for the diagnosis of my condition, I can use the opinion of a doctor and hospital or anyone else. Of course, both can be wrong. But if I do not have a doctor's opinion, say why. And say it in my own good and not in any other respects.
RE: Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
I was in ResMed Poland today. They took my device for calibration for a few days and at that time I got a second copy of the device and two masks: AirFit N30i and Swift FX.

It will be interesting to see if the same conditions are reported or not by the replacement CPAP. Good luck.

Yes. Maybe everything will be clear.
RE: Does the infarction affect the breathing in the device?
lech, I do not mean to offend or intrude. the charts I saw indicated scary severe problems & the difference between them & hospital could have serious consequences if the machine is true. I don't doubt the hospital results as much as I suspect your body/brain didn't act up that night. of course I don't know this. I'm just another guy on the internet with no medical qualifications. it just strikes me as risky for you not to know. the reason to pay attention to counting your apnea, at least in the beginning, is because if you have apnea a functioning machine will reduce their frequency & the negative impact on your body & mind. I'm glad you checked in with resmed. that should put this particular discussion to rest.
