[CPAP] Return to CPAP

Hi All,

Long story short:
  • After being diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea I was a long time CPAP user for about 2 years roughly 2 years ago. 
  • Everything looked good AHI wise but using CPAP still gave me brain fog and fatigue even after trying out various settings. 
  • Since then I've stopped using CPAP and am now using an incline bed which has improved my brain fog and fatigue more significantly than CPAP but the brain fog and fatigue is still there and is still considerable.
I've lost about 10kg of weight since my diagnosis and since the incline bed hasn't treated my symptoms completely I thought I'd give the CPAP a try again.

Attached are screenshots of some recent CPAP sessions, I still had the same brain fog and fatigue like I did 2 years ago after these sessions though but maybe there's something obvious I'm missing when it comes to the settings.

I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions. Smile

1st set of screenshots is for the first night where I left my setting pretty open to see what data I get.

   
   

2nd night is when I turned EPR on since I recall feeling much better the day after if I turn it on.

I would make a couple of changes that could make your sleep better.

Min 7
EPR Full time
EPR 3

give it a try and post again.
Apnea (80-100%) 10 seconds, Hypopnea (50-80%) 10 seconds, Flow Limits (0-50%) not timed  Cervical Collar - Dealing w DME - Chart Organizing

You also need to turn ramp off. You don't need it and you get no real therapy during ramp. Also, when you get up for a bathroom break, ramp starts again when you return to bed, robbing you of therapy.

The reason I turn ramp on is because I find it difficult to start sleep without it, I can probably reduce it to 15 minutes

So I've made the following changes for last night's charts:
  • Min pressure 7
  • Ramp time 15 mins
In terms of feel, I feel a lot more groggier than usual so I'd rate last night's sleep as a 3/10. It also looks like I had more central apneas than before.
