I don't think ergonomic pillows are very effective, and often increase obstructive events. It's more a matter of avoiding chin-tucking, whether on your side or back. Personally, I use a down pillow, and will pull it between my jaw and shoulder to elevate my chin from time to time, but I don't suffer from classic positional apnea

Got it. I had a rough car accident a couple years ago so I have an ergonomic pillow that's helped me immensely but I think you're right about it blocking my airways because my chin is slightly tucked when I use that pillow. I guess I'll try the chin/neck pillow and see if that helps eliminate the other events.
