[CPAP] What is the myAir sleep duration score based on?

What is the myAir sleep duration score based on?
The Resmed myAir app gives me a daily sleep duration score.  Does my Resmed Airsense 11 really know when I'm asleep (through breathing patterns or something) or is this score just based on usage hours?  It might be half an hour after I start using the machine before I fall asleep, and it would be nice to know what this number really means.

The french transalation is "heure d'utilisation" (usage hours).
The score is based on the rule :
usage is 7 hours (or more) : 70
usage is less than 7 hours : usage (in mn) * 70 / (420 [7h in mn]).

Where are you seeing "sleep duration"? I don't see that in the MyAir app, and I have the same machine as you. I see "usage hours", which is how long the machine was on. So the same as the French version. I also see a "total time asleep average", but that's imported from Apple Health and only showed up when I enabled importing data from Apple Health.

You're right, it's usage hours, not sleep duration time.  Thanks for the correction.

Yes, the myAir app regards the usage hours and does not even consider the real sleeping time. Just one thing to know, your body takes a while to get used to this darn machine so don’t freak out about the score.

I'll add an additional complication, which is that MyAir now connects to Apple Health / Health Connect (Android's version) and will import data from fibit/samsung/and the like.

There is an obvious error in the way they are reading the Health Connect data (I can't speak to Apple Health since I only have an android device).  Of course, the fitness watch estimates of sleep are only that, and they aren't meant to be taken as super highly accurate, but I tend to find them reasonably close at least with regards to total sleep time (not necessarily stages, since I don't have a good way to know that).

Anyway, the app is clearly reading the "time asleep" statistic as being exactly the same as "total time in bed" and does so every single day. The attached screenshot is an example - the "total time in bed" should be more or less the same as the "total usage" (I put it on right when I get into bed, take it off right when I get out) but instead it thinks I'm only in bed when I'm sleeping and thus I must be using the machine when I'm not in bed? I also must magically fall asleep instantly when I get into bed and wake up by vaulting myself out of bed :-p. I understand the numbers might differ for folks to take off their masks in the middle of the night and whatnot.

I tried to report this issue to ResMed. Unfortunately, their customer support appears to be a series of automated or semi-automated FAQs, it kept sending me notices to do things that were totally unrelated. I tried several times to report this bug to their developers, but I'm not sure if it went through. If anyone knows if ResMed follows this board or has a better way to contact them, it would be nice to pass the bug report along.

FYI, before anyone says "use OSCAR it's better" I agree and I already do, but I know my provider uses ResMed's data and generally has not been interested in looking at my OSCAR printouts, and it isn't clear to me exactly what does and doesn't get sent to them, I would rather it all be accurate.
