[CPAP] essential oils in the water tub

Dear Forum what is the general feeling about a couple of drops of (say) eucalptyus oil in the water tyb to act as a decongestant?

Please place some eucalyptus on a plastic cup and watch it melt the plastic. it could do the same to the materials your machine is made of! Even Litsea Cubeba which has anti lung cancer properties when inhaled has the ability to melt some polymers!

I would suggest using a diffuser and have some of the molecules dispersed in the room and some will definitely make it through the intake, but I would stay away from placing any essential oil in the actual humidifier tank of the cpap machine.
