CPAP to ASV A New Ballgame

CPAP to ASV A New Ballgame
9 years ago I got help from Apnea board.  My user name was PamVT41  or maybe Lukiesan.  I was good until this year when I had rotator cuff issues and surgery. My sleep went down hill and I had another sleep study which showed central apnea and cheyne-stokes breathing.  So I got put on ASV but the pressures have been blowing me up like a big balloon.  I have returned a little to side sleeping as my two issues are position and leak. I amset to pressures of 10-0-15  My PS seems to be settling at 5  and on bad nights my pressure jacks up to 25.  I have chipmonk cheeks and aerophagia.
I can't change pressures until I see sleep doc in May because medicare is giving me grief and my doctor is disputing their rejected claim. I wear a neck collar and sleep on slight inline.  Some nights I have 0 leaks.  Others I have many. My airway is small and tongue huge so taping has been a scary experience.  Any advice from ASV experts here?

Well, you've been here before, and know we are proponents of making the changes you need to optimize therapy results and comfort. There are lots of ways to cut pressure with ASV without losing efficacy. My guess is Medicare is not the source of your problem and it's your doctor or supplier intimidating you. When you're ready, post a chart and be prepared for some good therapy. Meanwhile, feel free to read any of the many ASV threads on the forum and see how novel some of the settings can be. For example Suzee. https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...ngs-on-ASV
