Can centrals be marked as obstructives occasionally?

Can centrals be marked as obstructives occasionally?
Hi,

When I examine the OSCAR charts I sometimes see some events marked as obstructive which look very similar to how a central would look.

For example:

The attachment demonstrates 2 different flow graphs from 2 different nights. The lower one is how I think a true obstructive could look. The upper one seems very similar to a central where I a large inspiration is followed by a period of apnea, probably due to the momentary decrease in CO2. Is it possible that the pressure pulse used by the device to decide on the event type could be misinterpreted sometimes?

Thanks...

It is always possible a few events get misinterpreted but treatment efficacy is about trends over time one miss identified event over an 8hr period has no impact on AHI as both CA and OA’s are included in AHI and the numerical impact is 0.125 AHI over 8hrs pretty insignificant

some hi end machines (ASV or ST) do not differentiate on apnoea events only that they have occurred

As is, regardless of proper or improper flagging, the question of "How do you feel?" is far more important for therapy determination.
