Can someone provide insight?
Hello. 20 years of insomnia. 4 years with cpap have helped, but recently I noticed the extreme exhaustion symptoms again. I’m including a snap of last nights data. Thank you in advance. Pressure is 6.
I recently changed to the Resmed N30. I suspect it might not be the best fit... Incase this helps...

RE: Can someone provide insight?
Welcome to the forum.
I would suggest EPR=3, Mode = auto, Min=7, Max=10 EPR=3 (pressure = 4+EPR = min Pressure = = 4 + 3) to better manage your Flow Limits and RERAs, Max = 10 and Mode=auto to get a little range to better judge what the machine is going to do. Use F12 to take screenshots to post because it provides better detail and turn off the Pie Chart because it hides pertinent data. Also Flow Limits are very important to performance. Include these charts, Events, Flow Rate, Flow Limit, Pressure, Leaks, and snores.

RE: Can someone provide insight?
Good advice by bonjour. When you switch into APAP mode you should have an option to change mode between autoset for her or autoset (or APAP or something like that, can't remember exact wording). Start in autoset for her (might already be there but worth checking) as that will allow machine to respond a little bit slower to the flow limitations.
This is a setting that might be worth changing but best to see some data first.

RE: Can someone provide insight?
Try the new settings then post OSCAR charts on here to be reviewed. We are looking for your obstructive apneas, hypopneas and flow limitations to be reduced which they should be at these new settings.

RE: Can someone provide insight?
Good morning. I made the changes. I woke up several times hearing "a leak" or the new cushion/mask type is just noisier to me. Again, might not be fitting properly - which is a shame cause it is small and less cumbersome. I also started the day with gas in my belly. I've adjusted my OSCAR graphs, and REALLY appreciate the assistance. My goal is waking up rested (same as everyone else right?) again. Thank you, so very much!

RE: Can someone provide insight?
Yeah you had a leak most of the night and it appears a few of your apnea were post arousal after leak increased so probably leak waking you up then having what is called a sleep transition apnea or changing position. Is that leak from the mask or mouth? What was your previous mask?
I would like to get leak under control then see charts to get an idea of what you are having for arousals. I think the current settings will be an improvement over your previous ones. Might still be a bit of room for improvement with this machine but might as well leave as is for now if aerophagia was bugging you. Your high amount of flow limitation might require a bilevel machine for treatment if these flow limitations are causing numerous arousals (your sleep doesn't look that interrupted so might be ok with the improvement you should get from these new settings).

RE: Can someone provide insight?
you said
"I also started the day with gas in my belly" Was that before or after you started CPAP? Your numbers are low enough that it is important to look at your symptoms. Your flow limits cannot be chased any more than you already have unless you go to BiLevel. You lost an important bit of detail, what were your indices, all of them?
