First, make sure you have the OSCAR data directory (OSCAR_Data) is in your Documents folder. If not, you will need to locate it and copy the complete path to it. You will need to replace this path with the one I am listing in my example. Also, I'm using your member name here as the username in the example. You will need to replace it with your computer's username.
Open a Command Prompt (cmd.exe)
Type the following:
"C:\Program Files\OSCAR\OSCAR.exe" --datadir C:\Users\LuminousOne\Documents\OSCAR_Data
(Note: Include the quotation marks in the command above. Also, double dashes before the "datadir".)
Press the Enter key
OSCAR should start and now look for its data directory in the path you supplied from the above command.

Unfortunately, this did not work, even when I ammended the directory to include One Drive.
I also attempted to reinstall however it would not allow me, as the final step, to choose a folder stating "The folder you chose does not contain valid SleepyHead or OSCAR data". I didn't have this problem with 1.5.2.
Anyway, it's time to give up unless I can re-install 1.5.2.
Thanks for all of your advice.

I used the default suggested (one drive) and I checked ok. After seeing it could not be used, I uninstalled and tried to re-install, but it wouldn't allow me to use my computer document folder saying it did not "contain valid SleepyHead or OSCAR data".
Copy the OSCAR_Data folder to your Documents folder, then run the command I previously provided. The program OSCAR and OSCAR's data file are 2 different things and reside in different locations on your computer. Also, when OSCAR starts for the first time, it creates entries in the Windows registry that record the path to the data. Uninstalling OSCAR does not delete these entries.

I'm sorry to hear that. It would appear that you have other computer problems, that will prevent me in assisting you any further. It will take someone sitting in front of your system to fully diagnose your problem.

One more attempt. With Win11, you could be dealing with permission issues. I would like you to try this to see if it may circumvent any user account security.
Copy the OSCAR_Data folder directly on to your C:\ drive.
When done, the file should display like this:
Open a Command Prompt
Copy the code in the box below and paste it into the command prompt window.

I'm having my computer expert help me with this. I spoke to him and explained the issue. Turns out he "is one of us" and has experienced the problem so many have with being provided with a prescription and then required to fend for themselves. I told him all about this board and OSCAR. I will give him all the instructions you have provided me with. This could be a problem with my computer, in any case it needs to be looked at by a pro.
