Need help analyzing results. Low AHI but still sleepy

RE: Need help analyzing results. Low AHI but still sleepy
Philips Respironics sleep therapy devices report and/or display total leak rates. Total leak = intentional leak plus unintentional leak.  Unintentional leak = total leak minus intentional leak (from mouth, mask, etc.).  I just found this.  The red and green lines are total leaks and unintentional leaks.

Thank you SeePak and Jay51 for the suggestion. This is the recent chart with min pressure 7.5 on Full Face Mask setting (X1 for Philips). I felt somewhat rested, but the chart still don't look very good, with many hypopnea and flow limits.

I always thought that the number of flow limits, hypopnea, OA and CA doesn't really matter as long as you use CPAP, because the machine will help when the event occur. But now I'm starting to understand that you'll need high enough pressure to get to zero event. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanx Jay for leak rate info !

Boromt, any events you get means your pressure in some way needs adjusting, thats the short answer.

In your case, i believe you need a little higher pressure to get to a point where you have decent flow limits and few hypopnea.

Could you try a Smaller FLEX setting, maybe 2?

boromt, did you tape your mouth last night?

was your mouth dry when you woke up?

dont know if you need to, your leaks seem pretty low, as per Jays findings they should be ok, but if you try mouth tape, let us know.

how did you feel when you first put mask on last night?

How does the air feel?

How was the pillows last night, did they get plugged etc?

Not sure about the full face setting at this point, may be ok, but may need to take that out.

Thank you, SeePak. I'll try flex 2 setting tonight.

I have never used any mouth tape before. I'll find one and send the chart after I tried. I don't normally have dry mouth when I wake up.

Normally I put on the mask just tight enough to not have any leak, because if I put it too tight, the nasal pillow will block my nostrils. And if I feel any leak before I fall asleep, I'll make it more tight. I'm not sure what you want mean by plugged.

boromt

sorry i thought you said plugged, no problem.

Yes, you actually had best results with flex 2, but i think 1 could be better, and even off, but no need to try yet, but will see how this goes.....

I dont know you need to tape your mouth, dont do it if you dont want to.

Maybe wait till we get your system settled out at a pressure and then try something.

I would suggest Mayo tape, check it out on internet
