First night Nightmare's
Just had a sleep study done after years of needing it done. Things have really gotten worse for me in the last few months. So my clinician said I needed to come back for another study with CPAP on but didn't say how long it would be.
Decided instead of waiting I would get my mom's old Dream station auto and try it. After much studying I set it to auto and low 6 high 12 and tried it during the day and all felt comfortable.
Went to sleep wearing it last night for first time under CPAP with ease and no problems.
I guess I awoke many times because I had several dreams it seems like and all were horrible with all my family fighting.
Is this usual for first timers. I have Dream mapper and looked I had a 4.3 AHI and mask was 99% for 3hours and 16 min?
RE: First night Nightmare's
Thought I put this in the main question forums.
Moderator please move to appropriate place. Thanks
RE: First night Nightmare's
I moved this thread from the Software Support Forum. First night reactions vary, but nightmares seem unusual. As far as optimizing therapy, it helps if you put a SD card in the CPAP and record the detailed information, then post a detail Daily chart from
OSCAR. Other than that, the Dreamstation is a notably inferior CPAP to the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset, and is recalled due to the defective foam. We can direct you to the recall registration if you want a replacement. Do your best to acquire the Resmed Autoset instead of other CPAP brands and you won't regret it.

Sleeprider Thanks!
I have already read many post from you and take what you say as knowledge.
I know the CPAP is under recall and I took it apart and the foam is still stable.
I will be asking for the CPAP you just described when I
get to that point.
Will set up my lappy for Oscar also.
