DME question

DME question
While I was talking with my DME today, she told me that they don't get any credit for the masks that people exchange. That's why they limit it to just one exchange. She's a really nice lady and has been more than helpful but, does that sound right? I thought they were credited for every mask exchanged, at least during the 30 day trial period. On a positive note, she also told me that if I buy any equipment directly from her office, I would only be charged the same amount my insurance would pay them for it! Is that normal? Regardless, that's cheaper than online and much more convenient.
.....Have a blessed day!.....

RE: DME question
I've seen the terms from one manufacturer. The credit is from the manufacturer. They have to fill out paperwork from the manufacturer to get credit for returned masks. The manufacturer would only do one mask per patient.

Some of them may not do the paperwork. It may vary with manufacturer, or the policy may change over time.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check for yourself.

If the DME is "in network" for your insurance, the insurance company will usually pay them a fixed amount for any CPAP mask or other supplies, and they can't bill for the excess.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.
