Devilbiss discontinuing cpap production
Interesting Devilbiss are discontinuing production of their Cpap machines?
Comes only days after Aussie Cpap expert Nick pulled down one of their machines on his Youtube channel and found what looks suspiciously like the same foam involved in the Philips "foamgate" scandal.
Of course when he contacted Devilbiss they denied this was the same foam involved in the Philips machines but very strange timing if this is the case don't you think?

RE: Devilbiss discontinuing cpap production
Just read that news story. One would think they would have had an outstanding opportunity over the next 12 months to gain significant market share, without having to spend significant marketing dollars. If I were the CEO, I would have given everyone a 30 day return policy and produce as much as I could. They could have also approached other companies to look at a merger or buyout of their CPAP technology.
You're right: To abruptly announce a shutdown of its entire CPAP product line does sound a little absurd at this precise moment. But they do feel they have a good opportunity in the oxygen area. With what's been happening in India and third world countries, maybe oxygen demands are an explosive opportunity (pardon the pun).
