Can someone please help me get my AHI down
Hey everyone

I’m new this this and not sure if I’ve posted correctly but I’m with an extremely hopeless doctor who pretty much knows nothing about sleep apnea.

I have bought a philips cpap dream station and had it for 6 months now. My ahi has been around 8 and I have attached my data.

Can someone please help me get this below 8 and see where I’m going wrong?

It would be so greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site! You have taken the first step to getting your apnea under control.

To do anything we need to see your therapy. You need to download OSCAR (its totally free) at the top of this site. You need to a SD card in your machine - 8GB to 32 GB - they are very inexpensive used by cameras to store pictures. After you get a night or 2 sleep with the SD in the machine you will need to download the data to OSCAR and people here can and will help you to get a better nights sleep and reduce your events.

Here is how to start to use OSCAR it is in the WIKI at the top of the site: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/OSCAR_Help

It sounds like a lot but it is really not very hard to download and use.

Welcome to Apnea Board,

We work better with the seeing of the data. As Stacey says, get OSCAR and an SD card for the PAP, then you can capture this data and post it via an OSCAR screenshot. Besides you get to see it yourself and are more proactive in your own therapy this way. The SD need only be 2-32GB, but otherwise Stacey has it correct.

The problem is that these DreamStation PAPs need tuned to very close to your needs. They are very slow responding PAPs and need this headstart. Likely you just need to have us point out pressures and say change to x and get on with better therapy.
