Hi all! I am freshly diagnosed and three weeks into CPAP therapy (170 hours logged). Sleep test showed mild apnea with AHI 6/ RDI 11 with an O2 Nadir of 84% and I was prescribed a Resmed Airsense 10 set to 5-15 cmH20 which I have been using nightly since Dec 29th. I have been trying out different masks and am aiming to optimize my setup for the best data and symptomatic results and would love your input.
For masks I have tried:
-F&P Evora (nasal)
-F&P Evora Full
-F&P Brevida (nasal pillows)- my DME gave me XS/S, but I also have M/L and am not sure how to tell which is a better fit
Some more info:
My 95% Pressure throughout all 3 weeks of therapy has sat between 6-8cm and my highest 99.5% was 9.96cm. I do not have ramp or EPR on at the moment and dropped my max pressure down to 10cm to try to tighten up my range. I mouth breathe overnight so have been using a chinstrap and a scc for two weeks; in addition, my numbers improved after I pulled my GERD wedge pillow back out so I have been using that as well. Keeping an eye on my O2sats with the O2ring and those have been fairly steady since I started, only once or twice dipping into the (high) 80s. I've attached OSCAR data for both my most recent Evora nasal and Brevida (XS/S) nasal pillows nights. My numbers and comfort level with the full mask were terrible so I've not included them. If there's any pertinent data missing from my screenshots please let me know! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help with this.
It looks like you have made a good start. You would probably be more comfortable and have better therapy if you increase your starting pressure from 5 to 7. Most adults need at least 7 to sleep comfortably.

RE: New to CPAP, help with optimization
Thank you so much for suggesting to bump my lower pressure! My first night saw really decent stats and then I got this one for night #2. My first night, probably ever given how long I was having symptoms, without any events
Yeah, those 0.00s are a lot of fun! You can't count on getting those often, but I like it when I get them too. Your therapy looks great to me, but the key is how you are feeling. Are you sleeping comfortably?
As to your mask size, whichever is more comfortable and still avoids leaks is likely your best choice. Your charts don't show any leaks, so you must not be a mouth breather. I'm jealous.

RE: New to CPAP, help with optimization
I am a mouth breather actually! My first few nights were a mess, but then I got a chinstrap and it seems to work well for me.
I'm feeling like an entirely new person on CPAP! Sleeping through the night for the first time in years, more energetic, no brain fog, and it's like my metabolism turned back on- I haven't been able to lose weight in five years, but after starting therapy it began to melt off with no other changes made. I didn't realize how badly I felt until I no longer was feeling it.
