long leaks
Hi does anyone recognize this issue? regardless of apap or c pap pressure settings , my wife at times while sleeping begins to lose air from her full face mask .the length of leak is short to very long and is always followed by a body  motion like she has without using the machine .she has the mask as tight as one could stand .mask are new  ,face is clean .the events range from 2 to 14 usually above 5 .ca"s around half of ahi"s it acts as though when her obstruction begins ,the machine attempts to open the airways but  is sent out of the mask .all usable  pressures have this effect.does it sound like a resmed air sense 10 can not overcome an issue that may require a different type of machine ?thank you anyone who has a clue

RE: long leaks
It seems counterintuitive, but wearing the mask tightly can actually worsen leaks.  The mask needs to sit gently on the skin.  Then when the air enters it fills the mask, causing the edges of the mask to adhere to the skin.  Try that and see if it helps. Smile

If you want other treatment help download and use Oscar. We can then offer advice to help optimize her treatment.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto

RE: long leaks
What I've noticed myself when first starting CPAP in 2015 was that the knee jerk reaction was tighten the mask so it won't leak. But it leaked worse.

Over tight will crush or cause distortion to the cushion and frame. Go looser and it should be better at leak control. If not, try another sized cushion. Failing that too, change models or style.

Mac computer? Maybe try right click of the OSCAR app or fn right click then Open. I have to use this to open sound software on my Mac Mini M2. Give it a go, if it didn't work we'll try again with a hint.

RE: long leaks
You can also look to positional apnea - caused by sleeping position.  Sleeping on their back or sleeping with to high of a pillow.  It is also known as chin tucking where the chin drops down to the sternum cutting off the airway.  Many people report this and if it cannot be fixed by keeping off their back they may need a collar to keep their neck straight..  I have a link to collars in my signature.
