Does CPAP usage make you dependent on or addicted to the therapy?

RE: Does CPAP usage make you dependent on or addicted to the therapy?
If the xPAP gives you much better rest during the night than without it, I would say that addiction or dependency would be a good thing. Actually, it's kind of the point (this is what the compliance rules try to reinforce, after all), and I don't see a problem here at all. The goal is to get you good sleep. The xPAP does that, and it becomes a problem? It sounds like whoever came up with that idea imagines erroneously that xPAP fixes sleep apnea to a point where you don't ever have to use it again. If that were true, and xPAP messed with your natural breathing pattern, there might indeed be an issue. But the xPAP is therapy, and not a fix, treatment, but not a cure.

X100

If "life" is better without CPAP therapy, I'm going to pass.
<1.0 with treatment, >20.0 without treatment. Pure fact.
