Newbie to OSCAR - why mask leakage rate is so high
Hi all OSCAR experts
I'm using CPAP machine for about 20 days.
AHI is coming down fro above 10 to below 5.
But Mask leakage is so high in the rage of 30-50 L/min. My Air keeps complaining!

Attached are last night's OSCAR graphs.
Please have a look and shed some light. Thanks in advance.

RE: Newbie to OSCAR - why mask leakage rate is so high
Mouth breathing or your jaw/mouth simply drops open while sleeping.  Do you wake up with a very dry mouth?
There may also be some mask movement.

Double check your mask fit.  Read through the Mask Primer for tips on mask fit.

As far as mouth leaking/breathing, many here use mouth tape.  I, myself have found that to be a good remedy.
It does take some getting used to.

With that high of a leak rate, you cannot assume that your AHI numbers are correct.
