Are you sure about that? On my S9 (and I believe the A10 to be the same) the total machine run hours are stored forever. I think you might be confusing that with the compliance data (therapy hours) which is not the same thing.
Access the clinical menu: Press and hold the dial and the Home button for three seconds.
The Home screen is displayed with an unlock icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Go to Configuration | About |View Run Hours - that should give you the total hours on the machine.
