New CPAP User - Still waking up between 1-2am
Hi All,
I have never been a great sleeper and often wake up multiple times a night. I have been using my AirSense 11 for about a month and am still waking up around 1 or 2am every night. I am trying to understand my cpap data and/or what I can do to try to sleep through the night. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It has taken me a while to get to keeping the CPAP on for 5+ hours a night. When I first started I would wake up around 1 or 2, struggle to go back to sleep with the cpap on and then just remove it because I was so tired. So I am glad I am now able to mostly keep it on for 5+ hours a night.
I am attaching my OSCAR data from the past two nights.

RE: New CPAP User - Still waking up between 1-2am
Welcome Kate - here are some suggestions that should help.
1. Your minimum pressure is too low and you're only getting expiratory pressure support for a very small portion of the night. In fact, you can see when the pressure gets above 7cmH20 with the green triangle right before you woke up so this change could have brought you into lighter sleep making it easier to wake up.
Solution: Increase minimum pressure to 7cmH20 so you get EPR full time
2. I think you'll find that the earlier you go to bed, the better quality sleep you'll experience so try to get to sleep before 10p if you can manage it. Other sleep hygiene things to take into account is limit alcohol, try not to eat within 3hrs of bed-time and maintain a consistent sleep schedule of going to bed and waking up at the same time.
3. Turn off ramp, it's not helpful.
Would you mind zooming in on a couple of those obstructive events so I can see the flow rate around that time? I'm suspect they are actually obstructive and could be position changes / breath holds.
Okay I will try setting my minimum pressure to 7 tonight to see what happens.
The machine is saying that I am going to sleep an hour later than I actually do. I don't think it changed time with day light savings. Not sure if I have to change it, or if the machine is supposed to do that automatically or if I have to contact my doctor to get that fixed. It is kind of a bummer. I try to go to sleep by 10 every night. But, I have two teenagers and they generally want to chat late at night. So that is not helping my sleep.
Here are a few more screenshots of the events. Let me know if these are helpful.
