New installation of OSCAR closes itself [resolved- see post #2]
Just downloaded and installed OSCAR on Windows 10 and imported previous Sleepy Head data and profile. After install got an update page that recommended backing up Profile directory which I did. Restarted and got page of release notes. Closed it. Message flashed on OSCAR that it is loading user profile and then it highlights the close screen X in top right corner and is gone. Restarts come up with the release page notes and the closure process repeats. The profile name is populated on the opening page, but never loads the profile.
Help! Did I miss something?

RE: New installation of OSCAR closes itself
It sounds like your video graphics hardware is incompatible with OSCAR's requirements; the solution is to force OSCAR to switch to a software solution. You can do this by holding down a shift key while you are starting OSCAR.
I'm not entirely familiar with Windows, so please report back whether or not this works.

That worked! Not sure what that did, but it started up normally. I imported from an SD card and loaded sessions from the card import. All is working well it seems. Also, made a small change to my profile which worked also.

Thank you for the report!
That was GuyScharf's magic; he dug in and figured out what was happening with Windows graphics.
