Does OSCAR show additional info that ResScan does not show?
#1
Question
Does OSCAR show additional info that ResScan does not show?
I'm curious if OSCAR shows additional data that ResScan does not show.   I'd rather just use one program to monitor my sleep, but I'm guessing since my machine works with ResScan that there really is no reason to use OSCAR.

Or am I wrong?

The two software programs do show the same information, however OSCAR is easier to use, and provides more useful, graphic results. You can easly zoom into events and your respiratory flow rate to see exactly what is going on. I'm a very experienced user of the machines and software, and would recommend OSCAR over Resscan if you're only going to use one or the other.

I second Sleeprider's comment. Oscar is a far more friendly program to use.

ResScan is really set up for a clinic situation and includes a lot of un-needed patient management functions. It is possible to zoom in on detailed sections f the graphs, but it's not intuitive - I'd go so as to say the design is very clumsy.

Oscar was developed from SleepyHead, and is written by apneacs for apneacs. It's much easier to use and gives a far better graphical representation of your parameters and events. Unless you really must use ResScan (eg for official compliance reporting) then I'd give it a miss and use Oscar.
