Dreamstation/Mask Leakage
Hello all. Newbie to CPAP here.
Had two machine choices that I was okay with based on a little reading. Thought was leakage reading was something I would use, just in general to keep an eye on and not committing to type of mask right away, figured it would be helpful. One of the reason I passed on the other machine is that I didn't want a smiley face or frown to be expressed to show a result of leakage. I wanted to see numbers. Mentioned that to the RT I met with to rent the machine specifically about this reading, but she didn't say anything about the Dreamstation only registering "large leaks". Kind of peeved by that. Probably doesn't help that I am feeling more tired after starting therapy than before, but hoping it's part of the acclimation process (?). I've coughed, breathed through my mouth (using nasal mask), readjusted, left it running during a trip to the bathroom (auto off is off) and the 100% Mask Fit stays the same. Can anyone tell me what it takes for a leak to register? What constitutes a "large leak"???
Also, I've used the machine 3 times, consecutive nights, and only the last bar of the three bar graph in the, "Three Night Summary" shows a result, from last night. Seems it should be showing results from the last three nights of use, no?
