Dreamstation firmware

Dreamstation firmware
Hi,
I have been using my Dreamweaver for some time now and have decided to upgrade my firmware. The impetus for this has been the purchase of the portable Go Dreamstation. I noted the machine responses are more "flexible" than mine which is now 3 years old. Reading the upgrade instructions I noted I had to log into Respironics for the file but I don't have an account or a customer account number to set one up.   Sad

Am I missing something basic here? Any suggestions on how I can setup an account with Phillips if thats the only way?

thanks in advance

Fred

Firmware updates for the DreamStation and DreamStation Go are available in the Private Files and Links Forum.

RE: Dreamstation firmware
Just as an update as I understand there is some trepidation on upgrading firmware. I upgraded last night from 1.05 to the latest firmware without a hitch.

Fortunately, as I had hoped, the updated firmware seems to provide a more “flexible” algorithm than my earlier version. For me the main difference is that it isn’t as aggressive in driving the breathing cycle. Previously it would virtually dictate when you inhale and exhale and if you went off the cycle (such as not breath out as long) it would noticeably hesitate on the inhalation. This is no longer the case.

Also, I didn’t notice any ahi difference that was material.
