This is the machine I bought on amazon also. So far it's been great, the price was about the same. It's a great value and in the end purchasing it myself I saved $2500 not doing the sleep study.

As I said in my original post, I wasn't even in the market when an unsolicited email from a different retailer (and for what turned out to be a different machine) just piqued my interest, and, being bored, Googled around and landed on this at Amazon (where I now spend 80% of my dollars).

It was around midnight on a Saturday (EST) and I watched a couple of them go out (refreshing the page) and then pulled the trigger. It was indeed, a brand new, fully equipped, sealed in a Philips box DSX500T11. Since the pages (and vendors) jump around, I would just put the description 'dreamstation 500' in the Amazon search box. I bet it rolls around often, and I wouldn't be surprised if they prefer to put them up on a late weekend evening.
